Pc Overheating
so I decided to preload the world with dh and chunky. Well it looks very nice and my ram usage and cpu usage and fps are very good. Only problem is my pc is quite hot . it went from 50 to 60-70. Anyone knows how to fix this? Cuz I wish to use shaders too but I feel like my pc is begging me not too. My pc is pretty beefy too. 12gb ram 3040 graphics card and i7 Intel processor (something like that).

60 to 70 while under load is a good temperature
you should only be concerned if you're averaging 90+
what yeshi said^
and on a sidenote: modern hardware can sustain near 100Ā°c for long periods of time without sustaining physical damage
but I try to get less than 60
cuz my ssd broke last time from overheat
and it was like 60-70
I touched my graphics card and my hands are cooked
ssds can't tolerate more than around 70 ish
cpus and gpus can tolerate far more
as long as your cpu/gpu aren't averaging 90+ and your ssd is sitting around 60 you shouldn't have any problems
i believe speccy shows drive temperature (maybe windows' task manager does as well, but i'm not sure about that)
unless you're using pc case with absolutely no airflow, SSD shouldnt take a hit from CPU temp rising eh
could be a laptop
stuff is typically super tightly packed
open case lol
maximum airflow idk my friends told me to do this until I get water cooling
:grassblock:
imma be honest with you, i dont think your ssd die from heat :cou:
ight š
but 60-70c temp is very good
so you have nothing to worry afaik
I wonder what mysterious force is damaging it
ight
looks so good man

hope to see some pics in #screenshots then
well I only opened my case after the ssd incident
then it's an ongoing investigation then
:cou:
Well I'm just gonna use 12 render with shaders cuz im not gonna use that much
:vr:
you can get away with 4-8 rd
?
ah
Well without distant cuz
understandable :cou:
I think it's only good for some time uses cuz really I'm not gonna use that much
š
shaders are important man
:cou:
but dh with shaders
amen
š¤
guess that solves it
i thought you wanted to try the new DH-iris stuff lmao
I could
my pc is good enough
:cou:
we'll see then :cou:
