Blown up crotch on any pants i wear...

TLDR: I always rub away the crotch on any pants I ever had with my thighs, any fix or advice? I have an issue thats certainly not unique to me. Any pants (be it denim or any other material like chinos or flax) I wear tend to "blow up" in the crotch area. I am rather big (both tall 6'2" and overweight) so my thighs rub on each other when I walk and that always wears down the material. Usually I go through a pair of pants every year or 18 months if im lucky. And I dislike that on the grounds of it feeling wasteful and annoying. Recently I lost all 3 wearable pants I had to this issue so I thought Id try to seek out someone who can help me. Here comes my question then, is this normal, do I just have an unfortunate anatomy and this issue is largely unavoidable. Or is this a quality issue? I never tried getting more expensive brands because it always happened even with "better" brands like Levi's. Im currently stuck on getting a pair from C&A or H&M because they mostly have my waist size (44"+) and are cheap enough.

What exact pants are you buying?

H&M chinos, the light grey ones. And jeans from C&A they have their own brand with consistent sizing at around 40eur

What fit? This issue is a common problem with slim or skinny fit pants, when they're too tight in the thighs the fabric will fail at stress concentrations There are a couple of good options, 1) choose fits that are more relaxed or loose in the top block, which will stress the fabric less, 2) ask your tailor to add a crotch gusset to your pants, this is some reinforcing fabric that should improve the longevity of the pants

Slimfit used to be, i will probably be moving in the direction of regular fit pants tho. Crotch reinforcement is something i thought about

Yeah it's likely that the slim pants are getting stress points in the crotch I'd suggest something more relaxed / loose especially in the top block to avoid the issue

I feel like ill have to tailor the pants a little bit, because i have pretty large thighs and dont like when the pants are too loose on the bottom

i also suffered through the "h&m has 44" waist except it constantly wears out" dilemma - j crew classic fit is a good alternative if you can find it.

I have a similar body type and had the same issue. The solution was definitely to move away from slim fit to regular or wide fits. More comfortable, more stylish and less blowouts! Since I wear wider fits I haven't had the need to reinforce any pants

I will try to find a regular fit jeans in my size. Only Im in the EU, so Im not sure if I should even try to find something of better quality in the sub 200eur range. Maybe if I find Levi's at discount

What does being in the EU have to do with better quality pants? I think moving away from C&A is definitely the right thing to do, but I don't think Levi's are necessarily less prone to crotch blowouts

Definitely no shortage of good EU options in the sub-200 euro range. Have a look through this previous post for some brand options! https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1212368672363118613/1212368672363118613

larger sizes are harder to find in the EU

shipping/return costs also factor in if buying a non-EU brand
