mods not compatible, but i have no mods?
hello! i recently went back to beta 1.7.3 for a bit, and when i was finished, i loaded up 1.20.4, using my previously working iris instillation. however, when i booted it up, fabric loader came up and said that some mods i have are not compatible, and need to be updated. i have attached the message in the image. i asked about it on the minecraft forums, where i then made a new game directory and downloaded iris there, which didnt work. i also deleted the config files, and that still didnt work. all the things i did to try and fix this were told to me by other people, as i have no idea what my files all do, lol. could anyone help me with this issue? thanks :3

Try updating fabric loader
Your Fabric loader seems outdated. Updating Fabric loader may help.
how would i do that? im sorry im not very experienced with this :[
okay, so, it works, but now when i click on video settings, it doesnt bring up the menu i was used to? its just the normal dirt background, and i cant see my shaders.
Make sure you have the correct versions of sodium and Iris in your mods folder
i do, and it still wont show up
Can you send your latest.log
And a screenshot of your mods folder

:thinkies: you have nothing in your mods folder
You need sodium and Iris to use shaders
i downloaded it though :[[
im sorry i have no clue whats wrong with it👽 like i press download on the iris installer, with java installed, and nothing happens, it used to work but when i switched versions and back it stopped

You need the mod version, not the installer
You can get it from modrinth or just select fabric install in the Iris installer
okay so i did that, and now i have a fabric loader, but when i boot that up it shows none of my worlds or server, but i do have access to my shader, however, the shaders themselves arent there. just the shaders tab

difference between the 2

I believe you’re supposed to have this directory set to the .minecraft folder
In the current configuration it will make a whole installation in the mods folder
i did that, and my worlds are back, but the shaders tab is gone again, with just the vanilla video settings tab
also tried with default directory, same result

Make sure you have sodium and Iris in your mods folder
this is whats in there, im relatively sure thats what needs to be in

None of that should be in there
That’s an entire fabric installation
:0 i see...
You should look up a tutorial on installing fabric mods
ill do that rq and alert you of my results, thank you ! again im sorry about my general unknowingness
oh thank god, i redownloaded iris and it didnt work, but after also getting the fabric instillation it works
thank you so much for the help :]
