I have a 4070 ti and struggle to even hit 100 fps in the game. No matter if I enable dlss. Help?

No matter what quality setting I set dlss to the fps remains the same. I have a i7-14700k as my cpu and I should have no issue running the game at way higher framerates that I currently get. Help??

yeah i just ordered new ram because i think with ddr5 its better to have just two sticks (dual channel) for better performance and since i have 4 my hardware cant keep up with it. I think thats what im missing because they arent running as fast as they can

urh that's not how dual channel works @negiez 4 sticks will still have dual channel I don't think that's the issue at all you're certain the hdmi/dp cable is pluggedi nto your gpu? could you send a picture of the back of your PC

also make sure all ur drivers are up to date, and if you wanna go the extra step you can make sure that Sons of the Forest specifically is running off your GPU in the Nvidia Control Panel. That’s about all i got, i don’t wanna give you bad advice and it seems smokey is more knowledgeable on this subject

Right click on your desktop or just press the windows key and search for the NVIDIA Control Panel, pretty sure you then go to “Manage 3D Settings” then “Program Settings” then click Add and find Sons of The Forest but if ur hdmi is plugged into ur GPU pretty sure there won’t be an option for integrated graphics but if there is make sure u are switched over to ur GPU it’ll be labeled as advanced graphics processor or sum like that not at my pc atm so sorry if that’s vague (hint: google is a helpful resource lol)

Sorry for reviving an old post but im too curious. Are you even getting (close to) 100% GPU utilaziation? You have to look at it while playing, with nvidia overlay

alternatively you can also use MSI afterburner to also look at your CPU utilization to check if that is the issue

Thanks for the input, although i prefer using HWMonitor on my second screen. In case you are curious, I only have 30%-50% CPU utilization, and still only get around 60-80% GPU most times, and when I do get close to 100% I also have more FPS. My initial curiosity was for a friend's case that has a 4070 like OP but got the same FPS as me with my 2070 Super and both on the lowest settings. And he only had like 20% util. His problem had fixed itself, maybe a patch idk. Now he says he gets almost always 100%. While im not too unhappy with my own FPS, it still bothers me that I cant find out why im not getting consistently 100% GPU util. to maybe squeeze out a bit more. Maybe it's similar case to Crysis where the game cant really utilize multiple cores, so it's bottlenecked by the CPU's single core speed, even tho monitoring software shows it barely being utilized. yea no idea.
