A notification inside the game?
Yes
I've gotten multiple notifications once outside pubg like "Your friend XYZ sent you a message" or "Your friend XYZ is online"
When I mean outside pubg like I could be on another app but the actual pubg app sends a notif
If they have the Push Notification enabled and have that option enabled too, yes.
