Overview of Electronics SPICE Simulation Software
I'm looking to run some simulations on the power section of my electronics design, and I'm wondering what SPICE simulation software options are out there. Could you give me a rundown of some popular choices and how they can be utilized for different analysis purposes?

I have been using LTspice since long for analog electronics simulations. For power design I used tool from power integration. But it’s restricted to their products only.

In LTSpice you can import models from non AD products.
great, i will check it out
What’s the PI tool?
It’s a tool from Power Integrations. To design SMPS, they give full solutions including transformer designs and output filter design, component selection. Only limitation is-it is restricted to PI switching ICs. I am not in expert in transformer design etc so very useful for me

Yes.
would have been better marketing to expand its use beyond PI products
Yes. They should.
