what should I be asking the tailor to do with this suit?

Got this old Boss silk and linen suit I'd like to get altered a bit, wonder what you all suggest I should be asking for from the tailor. I know the sleeves need to be shorter, trousers up half an inch. It's the jacket I'm less sure about. If I have the waist/back taken in, will that help with the material across the top of the back? Shoulders are at my natural shoulder, so I'm guessing it should be doable Any advice/suggestions appreciated

honestly it fits really well mostly the wonkiness in the upper back like you mentioned. I wouldn't get the waist taken tho The closed quarters really lends itself to the fuller waist imo also the fabric and color feels nice and breezy and I think nipping the waist would ruin that

it looks good! perhaps it's your stance however the break on the trousers looks odd. i think you could hem the trousers a hair. ps - i'm also happy to see something that isn't slim fit. the silhouette your outfit casts is nice.

Thanks all. Llbeans, think you're right about the waist - it is the relaxed feel I like most about it. Hasn't been cleaned or pressed in a long time, that alone might help with the back @scorchedearth yeah, I'm enjoying the more traditional fits these days as well. Definitely more comfortable, and think they're more flattering when things can drape a bit
