Question regarding GET Requests
Hello there, I have a question, how many api requests can I do per month with the free plan? All my project do is to get responses from an api and from there it sends it to discord. I'll really like to know to make sure that I don't go over.
Thanks!

There is no free plan so uh 0?
Unless you mean an old account grandfathered into the free $5 usage in which case... it depends they bill by cpu/memory usage not by requests
Ah yes the free $5 usage, I believe that I don't really do any cpu/memory usage as it's just getting requests and sending that info into a discord embed, something simple, is there any limit about api requests per month? (I'm asking because I used in the past some other hosters and they had limits on api requests)
do you mean the trial plan?
yup
that only gets you 5$ in credits once, after youve used them you would need to upgrade to the hobby plan
do you know if it charges even tho it's just a getting request and posting info? I believe that it doesn't consume any cpu or memory at all as it's just getting info
Everything consumes CPU & Memory. It will just depend what language you are using and your specific code how much it uses.
I see, where can I see how much I'm consuming?
click on a service and go to metrics or go to your account usage page
I see it now, thanks ;D
Also, another question I have been checking the plans, I saw the hobby one and it says "8 GB RAM / 8 vCPU per service" does it mean I get that by default if I pay it while I can use the $5 that I'd be getting each month (example using the $5 for network)?
thats just the max your app can use, if your app actually used that much your bill would be quite expensive
ah I see so basically the hobby plan is to upgrade what you can use and get $5 montly for resource usage right?
yeah you pay 5$ a month and get 5$ in credits every month to be used towards resources
Alright, I'll see if I pay for it, I really appreciate your replies it helped a lot, thanks for helping!
no problem!
Oh also, if I run out of credits, it would just stop right?
yeah
at least on the trial plan, yes
with the hobby plan if I stop the sub on billing, would my project be deleted or just stopped until I buy the plan again?
And another question (sorry for so many 😠) with the prepaid sub, it would charge me the $5 of the hobby plan + the credits that I want so, it would be using the credits instead of charging to my card until they ran out / I buy more right?
with the hobby plan if I stop the sub on billing, would my project be deleted or just stopped until I buy the plan again?yes just stopped, and you have a 3 day grace period to pay before things are actually stopped
with the prepaid sub, it would charge me the $5 of the hobby plan + the credits that I want so, it would be using the credits instead of charging to my card until they ran out / I buy more right?correct, but i can't recommend the pre-paid plan, theres a minimum load of 10$, and you can set a limit on the automatic payment plan anyway
Undertood! Thank you so much for the help, and sorry for the amount of questions haha
dont worry, im here to answer questions
oh well, final question, for the credits I can buy them anytime?
And does it uses first the credits? (Example, your project uses $4 per month and you have $5 credits, so your sub would still be $5 per month as you didn't spend more than the $5, but if it goes over for $1 usd, your sub would be that month be $6 as you went over by $1 right?
on the automatic payment plan, no you can't buy credits at any point since the card is charged automatically.
but yes your included credits will always be used to cover as much as possible before you have to pay via card
Excellent! Also if I don't use all my credits that month, would they be saved? Like If I use $3 credits that month so I still have $2, so next month (without spending) I'd have $7 right? (by going with hobby plan)
the included credits don't roll over
I see, so it's just to cover as possible, and next month they will still be $5 no matter what (unless I had before without the plan)
correct
Alright, thanks :)
happy to help
