That's expected behavior if entities are loaded in the same chunks as LODs.

It’s the same issue as clouds rendering on top of LODs

I noticed that if you move away a long distance, they will unload. And they won't load until I get within vanilla distance again. Perhaps it would be possible to forcibly unload them when they leave the vanilla distance

That would require DH to mess with vanillas rendering which is smth that the devs want to avoid as much as possible

There is a feature called seamless overdraw which will disable vanilla rendering and enable DH rendering at the exact same point but right now it doesnt work with Sodium When thats fixed then thats probably exactly what you need
