saw this article in variety, and after blowing out the crotch on my favorite pair of raw denims (RIP my tellason's) i am looking for something new and this fit ... :chefskiss: ...so tell me, what do you think these are?

they look like straight fit mid wash denim. Nothing really too special about them that I see
idk if them being "nothing too special" is an indication that they are, in fact, nothing too special, or are like $900 jeans
From this picture they could be $20 Levi’s or $900 Japanese vintage denim and most of the time you won’t be able to tell the difference
If you’re looking for just the look, Levi’s 550 in a faded mid wash will do the job
