FATAL ERROR: Reached heap limit Allocation failed - JavaScript heap out of memory

Hey ! im new to rail way and to backend programming in general. I build a nest js api with mongo db for a chat app. Im trying to upload the backend api to railway but its throwing me this error and i have no idea what to do. Im using the free tier, but i dont know if thats the problem and i want to be sure before upgrade. Any help would be appreciated 🙂

Solution:

since you get that message very soon after the app starts it's totally possible your app tries to use more than 512mb of ram and crashes all before railway runs a metric collection event
