Iris 1.6.14 modrinth
Hey guys, I'm trying to install Iris using modrinth in a new profile (no other mods, just fabric). It successfully downloads version 1.6.14 and Sodium 0.5.7 automaticallly, which gives an "incompatible mods found" popup. Is there something I'm missing? Also, I've noticed 1.6.15 is released (at least on GitHub), but it's not showing up within modrinth for me

I can manually change the version, that's not an issue, but is there a reason it auto downloads the wrong dependency?
1.6.15 was pulled from modrinth
It has a major performance problem
ah, that would make sense
can anyone help me with this?
it doesn't launch/crashes on launch
i trie downgrading my fabric loader
first, you have the wrong sodium version. You need sodium 0.5.7. Second, please make your own support thread if you need help instead of taking over others'
yeah my bad because when i tried to make my own thread it said an error and i needed to wait 30mins again and i also tried using sodium 0.5.7 but it says i incompatible and i needed 0.5.5
:ioa: is this an @IMS moment
just to be sure can you try loading with sodium 0.5.7 and iris 1.6.14 and show the error that comes up
indeed an IMS moment. However I don't know why your game crashes when launching 0.5.5 and 1.6.14
you could try updating your graphics drivers
checked it too earlier but its latest
does a crash report get generated?
in this one?
when you try to launch with 0.5.5
the crash-reports folder
wait let me check
yeah it did
oh
i know now
lmao
let me guess
RTSS?
yeah
thanks bro
im having the same issue
how do i fix it
@wind. @Slooshie please help
š
Close RTSS
I'm guessing it's akin to a typo error when building/uploading? I just manually changed the version and went on my merry way lol
oh alr
er my game still crashes
send the crash report
ok wait
so one issue is
is that my rtss always opens
no matterh ow much i close it
how do i stop it from opening š
did you right click it in your system tray and click close? did you try ending the process with task manager?
i did
but it just keeps on going
wait
ok i mightt have figured it out
its MSI afterburner
something else you can do to keep RTSS open while playing with sodium is adding
-Dsodium.checks.win32.rtss=false
to your JVM arguments
this will prevent sodium from crashing when RTSS is detectedok let me try it out
ill try removing it through msi afterburner first
if that doesent workk then ill do what you said
erm it did not work
@Slooshie can i dm you the crash
just send it here
its text tho
cause i use feather
nvm it sends as a file
RTSS is still open
alr ill do what you say
some versions of RTSS will cause spamming in the logs that will result in several Gb of your hard drive being written to in just a few minutes, so be careful
I don't think it's very common though
I never had it happen on the versions I've used
where are tthe jvm argumentts
im stuttpid
I don't know feather, and it's not recommended since it ofen causes issues with shaders
idk why it sometimes work and sometimes it doesent
its weird
in Prism Launcher for example the JVM arguments are here
got it
i found it
@Slooshie ty so much
you're welcome
