Is the issue the massive rectangle or do LODs also not load when you set rendering to default?
the rectangle is just debug stuff, LOD dont load, also wym default? i just set it to on
Yeah I mean when you just disable debug rendering, sometimes people think the rectangle is a bug
Try with just DH installed

im running with only DH enabled

I dont know what's causing the crashes but I recommend you try deleting your DH config and trying the nightly builds in #links

Yes but id recommend just deleting the file itself, it will make a new one upon startup

To edit the config for 1.5.4 and earlier, you can use Modmenu or edit the config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
And for later versions, press the button next to the FOV slider to edit the config.
Delete that

the LOD render distance sets how far from u LOD loads right?
the colors are the priority of loading?
i replicated it
it happens when i set the LOD distance high

anyway when i set it high it renders a few of distant ones as u can see
and then apparently stops
so yeah the weird behavious of this case i guess is related to LOD distance setting

If it stops rendering, you wont be able to see any LODs, if it stops generating, the LODs that are there will stay but no new ones will appear

as u can see time passed but only the same are there
when instead the default setting was set it did this which is very different result
Sometimes generation stops for some reason after changing settings, restarting mc usually fixes this

when LOD distance is set high
it starts lagging a lot
and i guess thats what crashed the game aswell when it happened
so yea weird stuff going on with the lod distance setting

many generated and rendered after few seconds
when its set high
only a few appear in far distance after several minutes
i restarted mc and i see no LOD yet so right off the bat i can say its not behaving nrmallyt

0.0001 fps and this is whats up now
it just keeps increasing the lag until i guess it crashes

played a bit with distance
now distance is 50 and it lags like when was 4k
so what bugs the mods is changing distance itself
what can i do
FURTHER TESTING: DH BREAKS WHEN LOD DISTANCE GETS CHANGED, UNLESS ITS A NEW WORLD
