suit fit

I posted a 44 of this suit on here recently and ended up deciding to try a size down. The button is a touch snug - I’ve read it is either an expensive, major alteration or a cheap easy one to have the waist widened a smidge? I know the sleeves should be shortened a touch. Other than those 2 items how is the jacket looking? The trousers I know will need a lot of tailoring.

Taking the waist out shouldn't be too expensive if you only need to do a 1/2" or so . But it depends on how much fabric allowance is in the suit. That said, it doesn't look like you need much so you'll likely be fine. Not seeing any major issues with this suit - obviously hem the pants and shorten the sleeves slightly. You could talk to a tailor about the slight bunching in the back but that's nit picking from me. Other than that and the waist it should be good!

That is some of the worst collar gap I’ve ever seen The waist definitely needs let out. Hard to say much besides that

Is this fixable or is the suit not going to work for me?

I’m unsure how to fix collar gap tbh. It might be bc the shoulders don’t lay right bc of the waist. How does it look unbuttoned?

I can’t get another picture right now, but I can show you what the next size up jacket looked like (collar gap may be worse?)

If someone can't figure out the reason for the collar gap here, best to find a reputable tailor for suits who can tell you why and whether it's fixable

Collar gap looks about the same there The two sizes seem to be 6 one way half dozen the other tbh Where is the suit from? That cut may just not work well for you Oh lol I see the tag now What’s the cut?

Can't believe I didn't see the collar gap. That's generally expensive to fix. I've done it and it was pricey. Honestly I don't think it's that bad compared to other models I've seen. Sometimes you need to wear the jacket a few times to let the canvas relax The collar gap could also be a result of the suit being too tight ie the waist. A good tailor could figure this out for sure

I couldn’t get a good photo because it’s dim in my house at night, but I think both jackets looked much better after pulling them taught (which I guess I didn’t do in the above photos). If the smaller jacket looks better overall, and the main issue is the waist being snug: is it an expensive, large scale alteration to let out the waist?

In terms of the waist, spear has extra fabric for it to be let out quite a bit. Let me check the website for u So I'd think it'd be a straightforward alteration
