Having trouble downloading!!
I tried downloading but it just gives me a file! When I open the file it makes me reinstall and it is just a cycle of issues! Could it be that I am using Opera GX and not my actual computer browser? Or is it another issue? Please help :3

I also see that everybody gets a popup asking for the version but I see nothing of the sort.
just click download and put it in your mods folders

It still doesn't seem to be working no matter what I do! It just keeps making me redownload the files when I double click the installer!

installer is for install files, of course it will keep install when you double click it

could you send a screenshot of a) what happens and b) how the file looks when you download it
it might just be a case of downloading this

assuming you have Java installed
that might be the issue! from videos ive seen the downloader opens a thing to choose your minecraft version and download, but i only get the installer!
The installer is what you open
