New viewer alert

P1 I know the image/alert only shows up for the viewer tho it is not. (on mobile) (through lightstream) and when i click your logo on the twitch app it displays a tab with company name and a white box, which i wouldnt assume i/ viewer would need since im using an embedded stream service R1 Could you make it have an OPTION for it to appear like a normal overlay (for all to see/hear? ) R2 Is O.E. capable of implementing a game capture feed? I thought having the content type as a browser source widget and having the url as the stream source would work (and it did ) but it didnt in the way i thought. Would like to have a follower alert image of a vx1000 displaying game feed on its fold out screen. P2 Nested Alert for Twitch Follow is not showing up. i know if theres multiple alerts of the same type they appear one after another displaying the same text group alert text. but i have the individual follow alert layer ( vx1000 ) to have opposing chat commands for my brb layer in hopes by "turning off" vx1000 follow alert would display the nested. R3 Could you make it where the text font type name is in the type it is. example. <option style ="font -family: Times New Roman;"> Times New Roman </option> And have it where the font window doesnt close after selecting a type?

First off, I really appreciate all the feedback. Please feel free to make more suggestions and comments 🙏 P1 New viewer alert requires that the viewer be watching your stream from a device that supports overlay extensions and unfortunately, the Twitch App does not support overlay extensions. We made a feature request to Twitch. Please vote and ask your community to vote too! For more information, see this support issue. New viewer alert is a unique experience per viewer, and because OBS gives every viewer the same experience, it will never work when streaming with it. There is also no way to accurately determine when a new viewer starts watching or if it is a bot, and it also opens you up to abuse from viewers with offensive usernames. R1 If you want everyone to see the alert, I would suggest using the new chatter ritual event instead. R2 Because Twitch does not allow browser sources/<iframe>s in Twitch Extensions, game capture feed will require that you stream with OBS. P2 I'd have to inspect your overlay to see why it's not working. Can you post the builder URL here? R3 That's a good idea, but sometimes the fonts can take a while to load so it might make that select field slow. We use Google Fonts so you can always go there to preview what fonts are available, but we'll look into getting this feature added.

P1 Your response was, " New viewer alert requires that the viewer be watching your stream from a device that supports overlay extensions and unfortunately, the Twitch App does not support overlay extensions. " Im not using the twitch extension tho (i think i do have it activated on my account) my consoles stream destination is through Lightstream which " bypasses" the cons of the O.E extension.( bc of the Browser Source URL) Well to me, that was confirmed by being able to see the "brb" layer ( & others alert/images ) on the twitch app for mobile . So it is confusing/ doesnt make sense why the new viewer alert wouldnt. For determining if a vieweris a botor not, isnt that what the email verification moderator in twitch settings is for? R1 Not for sure what New Chatter is, so ill have to google it. R2 So are you saying use OBS to add another game capture window in the Source? Was hoping that O.E could have a content type that would just display the Game Feed since the O.E project URL would be put into a browser source, or would the viewers on Twitch not be able to see it? Bc in my mind using other streaming services like OBS,Lightstream & Streamlabs would override the limitations of the extension. Thats why i tried to set the Content type as Browser Source widget and put in the stream address in the URL (as youll see in P2 link) P2 I cant put URLs in bc of the rules set by moderators, I could try to DM it to you. R3 Yeahh seen it on StreamElements page couple weeks ago and was like.. O.E def need that! haha

R2 Overlay Expert is an overlay app, not a streaming app. P2 Staff do not accept DMs. The post will be removed but we will see it in the logs. Also, please post the builder URL and not the stream URL. @JoeNoPro, yep, we got it. I'll take a look this weekend

@JoeNoPro I can't find any issues with your follow alerts. To prevent abuse, duplicate follows within the same stream are ignored so if you tested these events will real follows, they may not work. Did you try testing them with Stream Preview mode in the builder?

not for sure how the previewer works, when i click it, its just a blank checkered canvas. tried typing !testfollower but it didnt do anything.

All of your layers are either toggled or event-based so all you see is a blank canvas. Also, !testfollower isn't the the correct command; try !test twitchfollow

So do i just start typing after clicking preview bc theres nowhere to enter it?

The test follower command would be done in your twitch chat
