Can you search for Show tools, and check if it exists there?
It can happen if you for example deleted the object you scattered
OK Thx for the help...I redid that part but I have to say that I loose my scattering tabs quite a lot and always forget how to get them back...so if I go to tools that will show me all my used tabs correct?
Ye that tab shows the existing still editable tools, but the icon should show up for those as well, so if it happens again interesting to see if it exists there without icon or not
From experience most times this happens is due to users accidently deleting the object scattered, but sometimes people find bugs as well ofc. And a UE restart is always a good step 1 if icon gone and it doesn't exist in the active list
So if you experience it again, check there, restart UE and then reach out and we can troubleshoot 👍👍

hey @Thom ! 🙂
Can you go to the folder where your level is saved?
With that there should exist a json file, named after your level, can you find that and send it?
and ofc sorry about this issue!

hmm, interesting, that could be it, but let me check with the devs before deleting or merging 😄
Morning @Thom Sorry it took a while, but the best thing to try is this, while having UE closed.
1. Rename the newest JSON, the want that corresponds to your new level name, to something different. Keeping it to be safe for now.
2. rename the old one, to match the name of the level,
3. Start UE and the level, and let me know if the tool connections are back! 🙂

Let me send you a short video shortly!
1. Move both JSONs from the folder they are in, to the desktop maybe. UE should be closed when doing this
2. Make sure the right one with the right info is named after the level.
3. Import that JSON into the level through the Dash settings as seen in my video.
and also, please make sure the right, JSON, actually has the data you are looking for in it 🙂
You can send it here, if you want help checking data

ah shit, sorry to hear that!
Ye as long as you don't re-name your levels you should be good!
And fyi, we have revamped our saving mechanism in Dash 1.7, so errors/mistakes such as yours should be less likely! 😄
