Started today, tapping, burst or learning spray patterns?
I'm new to Valorant, but a seasoned player of both Fortnite (Bloom system) and Apex Legends (Spray patterns system).
The biggest shock in valorant to me was how I can jump a completely unaware enemy, open fire on them and still not be able to kill them before they kill me.
I'm doing research rn but most tutorials tell me to do bursts with strafing in between, but then when I watch actual ranked gameplay, it's someone using spray patterns and holding shoot down to kill the enemy.
What's the best way to do it? I know it sounds like a lazy post but I genuinely want to know so I don't develop any bad habits in the long run

oh yeah
a tip
He was straight up winning his gunfights
dont watch skillcapped
i mean
watch a few
but dont binge watch them
What's skillcapped
i did that before and ive wasted time doing it
its a youtube channel
that offers coaching
but they repeat the same things over and over again
and just rebrand it
Yeah there's channels like that for other games I play too
as a different name
yeah
not useful at all
repeat the same things over and over again
The worst thing is channels like that recruit actually cracked players to shill for them
so you should always tap
like two tap burst when you are at 10m-30m
Two taps and then strafe?
yeah
30m+ you one tap burst
also try playing games
and having your crosshair on the enemies
for 1 second
then shoot a single bullet
So I'm guessing the reason Brush was spraying is because he's already super good and doesn't have to be on his A game against these guys?
cant watch the video rn
but if he is immortal and hes playing against low elo
then yeah he can do whatever
and still win
Yup that's something I'm planning on doing too
because he knows what to do
So I don't panic
yeah
what other games did you play before val
Any recommendations for gameplays I can watch to learn best practices from?
any pro player
Fortnite, I reached the highest arena ranking and used to grind 1 hour of KovaaKs every day
Apex I played for a couple months
maybe like
cryocells
demon1
jinggg (if you want to play raze)
c0m
I'm thinking of just maining Sage for now
oh for sage
watch grim
Because I heard most people don't like being healer
dont play agents to suit others
Idm because that way I'm kinda useful
play agents you want to play and think are fun
you will improve 10x faster
I just like shooting and aiming
Should I pick a duelist then?
yeah
reyna and jett are good options
Bet, I'll go for jett since everybody picks Reyna
reyna helps you excell if you are able to get at least one kill every round and jett helps you live long enough to take many gunfights
nah they are both picked as much as the other
So any jett maining pros I can watch?
demon1
So I can pick up good aiming habits as well as legend specific stuff
cryocells
tenZ
Bet, will do
tenZ is kinda weird
Ooh isn't that the aimbot guy
i think he kinda flicks too much
its hard to learn from him
plus he is trying to learn omen for pro play
Yeah, I heard he doesn't really follow conventions
so i dont reccomend watching him
yeah
hard to learn from him
you will learn bad habits
like flicking way too much
cuz u see him do it
Yeah, same thing as Fortnite and Apex
but he only does it because
1. doesnt care about ranked
2. play for clips
3. he is good enough to flick a large distance and be able to hit the shot most of the time
Gotta stay humble
watch demon1
he's really good on jett
Yeah the playing for clips bit seems true for the goat in every game
if you want a less ego duelist then watch cryo
Guess that's all you can do when you're that good
full ego watch demon1
but i have to explain that ego doesnt mean you just peek shit
Bet I'll check em both out
but ego means that you know that you are smarter than the enemies and know that you will make the right descition every time
Yeah I heard you can't really do that in valo because good or not you still die in 4 shots
ego doesnt mean you just peek everyone cuz u believe ur better
ego is more like
im gonna peek this because i know the fight im taking is more advantageous for me than the enemy
instead of "im gonna peek this cuz i am mechanically better than them"
this is ego, the one above is not
you believe you are better so you take the gunfight
ehh
depends on smart ego or not ig
I'll check both of them out on YT
For balance
thats more of like the low elo ego
u see ur instalock reyna or jett peek everything cuz they think they're better
yes
then they die
go 0-15
blame teamates
even though they may or may not know that the fight they're taking is bad for them
yes
pain
but this guys unranked
yeah but he'll climb fast
if he is na
he just needs good luck
pretty good at fortnite which means hes pretty good at tracking
Is there a big difference between regions?
plus he plays aimlabs which emans he's pretty disciplined
its more of cope
It's kinda disappointing ADS is useless in Valorant though
but some servers are more toxic
becuase it was built on a toxic community
like eu is generally more toxic than na
but thats it
My ADS aim is easily 2x better than my hipfire because of how bad hipfire is in both fn and apex
coping that, "im only in iron becuase of poeple in _ servers are demons and if i got put in any other server i would be radiant" is cope
ads is good for few shots
EU moment tbh (I live here)
dont try to take straight gunfights with ads though
use ads when you want to hold angles
becuase it makes your first bullet more accurate too
but no ads = faster firerate and movement
If someone kills me and I see this little round crosshair symbol next to the gun it means they were ADS, right?
no it means they headshot you
on the killfeed
Yup
Okay makes sense
thats a headshot
yeah
I'll watch the players you recommended then
Thanks a lot
you're welcome
im only diamond 3
so im not the best for learning gamesense from
gamesense comes from playing the game more
it depends on the situation
Spraying is usually bad unless they're in your face
remember, your taking advice about cope from a "uwufurryfemboy"
Yeah but I'm a lot worse in that area
What's the rank below iron
Wood?
So I should learn spray patterns for if they're in my face? Or at that point it's confirmed accuracy anyway
Pretty sure his whole profile's satire though
Esp the bio
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if EU servers in this game end up being sweatier and more depressing compared to NA
That's how it was in fortnite, apex and brawlhalla
no people are like that nowadays
just dont touch frankfurt unless u have no choice.
I'm in Hungary so that's literally my only choice
well your screwed
Guess I'm lucky I don't know German
the amount of smurfs
is crazy
and then you have the desmurfers which are the people that got boosted cause of the smurfs
Only reason I'm playing valo is because
1. My laptop is ass
2. My classmates play it and I wanna be cool
So I just have to beat them
I'm fine with getting clapped by the smurfs
Although I can see why it'd be annoying
Isn't that good
I love beating boosted people
not when they are on your team...
they are rng lol
just learn that u need to control ur recoil then spraying is luck
Yes, spray control helps a lot in the beginning
either crouch or pull down and to the right very slightly
Spray patterns are semi random. Not worth learning
at least learning spray control is a must
U don't gotta learn anything, just pull down when you shoot.
theres more to it
idk it took me a few days to master it
it's not learning ig its getti
used to it
there’s muscle memory to pulling down your spray
