Do you have secure boot enabled? @Rhan212
Not sure is this enabled by default? If it is then yeah
Check your BIOS
You'll have to disable secure boot if it's enabled. That error message implies you're trying to boot an unsigned kernel image, which is what will happen by default. Once you've disabled secure boot, boot into your desktop, then in a terminal window, type
ujust enroll-secure-boot-key
, follow the instructions, then you can safely re-enable secure boot and you should be able to boot in with it enabledWill do thanks!
Also: if it prompts for a password during the ujust command, type
ublue-os
as the passwordThe password has nothing to do with the sudo root one does it? Because I've had a problem with that which I've put in a separate support question for
It's separate, don't worry
What option do I choose there was continue to boot, reset OK and few others
the installation experience is kind of awful still. im sure you remember it well lol
if you don't mind starting over, that might be better
but like the installer has issues with OCI images
so don't be surprised if you try reinstalling, and the installer never boots up and you have to troubleshoot it
but you can give it a try yeah
too bad you couldnt connect a keyboard
To boot with secure boot off?
For this?
^wait
is this booting and not booting into the installer ISO right
alright yeah... so you can use secure boot
Think so yeah
but
you have to press "B" or whatever functions as the "Esc" key on your handheld when you boot up
that will show GRUB
you can rollback
open a terminal
follow this
sorry for all of this
we use the fsync kernel now
because it supports more hardware and has other important stuff included than the stock fedora one
I turned it off then did the ujust enroll-secure-boot-key and had the prompt when I rebooted "continue to boot", "Reset OK" and few others
you can turn it back on and try following what i said. idk anything about this handheld, but does a button equal the escape key?
it would be easier to turn secure boot back on
rollback in GRUB (again press whatever functions as the "Esc" key on this handheld when it first boots to unhide GRUB)
type that into the terminal
update and reboot
should be in a screen like this if done correctly
should say fedora 39
but you can rollback to
:1
or earlier
which will be the update before the new kernelSo I see this on boot
But I can't go into the 1st one?
move down
on physical keyboards
it uses arrow keys
up and down
oh it wont let you actually boot?
Yeah it goes back to the screen if I click ostree:0
well
click :1
I can navigate no problem
:0 is the current boot that has that issue
:1 is the previous
Ah ok that makes sense that's what I was wondering thanks
Still probably going to re install the ISO 😅
yeah thats fine
