Adding software with a script

I'm trying to add Private Internet Access, which doesn't exist in rpm-ostree or as a Flatpak, and the installer is a .run script/binary. I'm having trouble adding the app, because it modifies the OS files—or it would, if the OS was mutable. Since it's a GUI app, is a Toolbox the right way to add it? Should I do it with a Distrobox? Can I use rpm-ostree install? Still trying to get used to the layered packages thing (first time with an immutable OS), but surely there must be a way to install something like this.
Solution:
Yep, looks like that's the simplest solution. And bonus, the OVPN connections also seem to forward the DNS, so no DNS leaks! For anyone looking at this later, Login > Downloads page > Scroll to the bottom > There should be premade OVPN files or you can generate your own....
