Worse perfomamce compare with Optifine ( -20 FPS with iris and with shaders)

For example, when i use SEUS PTGI HRR 3.0 shaders, i get 65-70 FPS with Optifine, but when i use Sodium + Iris, I get 30-40 FPS. I tried to Update my GPU driver, to reinstall minecraft, to use Simply Optimized modpack and etc, but nothing helps. Please guys, help, i cant play with forge and optifine. I turned off msi afterburner, tried to use different shaders, made sure that V-sync was turned off everywhere, installed ImmediatelyFast, nothing helps using optifine i got 140 fps with BSL, 135 fps with complementary, 450 fps without shaders using Sodium and iris i got 125 fps with bsl, 110 fps with complementary, 700 fps without shaders the location and look were identical, I turned around everywhere to download all the chunks.

Iris is not guaranteed to give you an fps boost over optifine everywhere, but it does seem to give you better fps at default Minecraft

Disable shaders and see if you're getting more performance than optifine with sodium

"450 fps without shaders" (optifine) "700 fps without shaders" (sodium + iris) They seemed to have already done that

didn't read clearly enough Well anyway then it's probably a iris performance thing, but i get far more performance on Iris than optifine maybe it's a per machine thing rn?

Even I don't get any performance improvements on Iris with Shaders, I do use the alternate mods that replace Optifine's features, except for Colormatic which doesn't support 1.20 and I mostly get the same fps on Iris, but more memory usage and some scenes are more laggier. But without those mods, I think I can a very subtle boost of fps over Optifine; but I definitely need those mods because I mostly use Minecraft just to debug my texturepack

A big thing about iris vs optifine is that Iris leave sthe vanilla game untouched, aka it doesn't change any vanilla behavior

Oh yeah, no dynamic lights and stuff and zoom

no, there's stuff like optifine literally changing chunk generation, etc to the point of being banned from speedruns
Atmosphere Of Tech
Oh that way..

because you'd get different worlds based on whether you had optifine or not

Really? That's interesting

It's mostly the fast math and other "fast" stuff that's an issue

But isn't Iris also not allowed on speedrun.com?
Appri
Appri10mo ago
probably not, but it's far less invasive than optifine is I haven't checked
Atmosphere Of Tech
It's not there in their 'legal list of mods' Sodium is there though

sodium is, also specific versions of optifine is I suppose nvm its not it was only for 1.0 to 1.14 until alternative came out (sodium)

fast math must be off xD that's the point there's no reason to have iris on a speedrun But Iris relies on Sodium, which is entirely non-invasive and doesn't cause changes to the game Unlike Optifine which is an entirely opposite spectrum
Atmosphere Of Tech
Makes sense, Iris is for shaders and shaders aren't allowed anyways.
