My Domain Registrar (Squarespace) does not support root @ CNAMEing

I'm trying to working around this with cloudflare, but no go so far. Can someone help me with this?

One way we can resolve this is by moving to Cloudflare as a nameserver Cloudflare supports root level CNAMEs

Right. So this is where I'm at with that... And on the sqarespace side.

Oh, awesome, if you already set your Squarespace domain up to use Cloudflare nameservers then you just need too wait for Cloudflare to finish processing ownership In the meantime, you'd want to set your www target to @ on Cloudflare if you want your website to work on www as well then you can create another CNAME record with the target of www which points to your domain

How does does Cloudflare typically take?

after that, you'd also want to go and verify that your SSL/TLS mode is set to Full

I don't think it takes that long, but I can't really remember you should see a list of options on the left in that list there's a tab for SSL/TLS, just click on that
