leather jacket fit and rec
Been trying to get a suede/nubuck racer style racer jacket with a slim fit and minimal design (I.e less shiny zips, the better). Not a bike rider, so not looking for a functional/armored jacket. I’m basically looking to wear it during work commutes and for going out with friends. Planning to wear one during spring/fall with just a shirt, t-shirt or polo. Any recommendations for $1000 and under.
On another note, I went to a mall to try out some jackets just to get an idea of my ideal sizing. While these jackets are not what I’m looking for at all, do they fit well?

Personally I don’t think the jackets you tried on suit your body
They seem way too tight around the torso
Though that’s how motorcycle jackets are supposed to fit, really tight so unless you’re actually going to be riding a motorcycle w the jacket try to find a looser fit
Don't buy from Thursday. Also the ones you've tried on all like 1 or 2 sizes small
Strongly recommend picking up a used Schott from ebay
that's the weird part... these were medium, but when I tried the large, it just seemed too loose for my frame
guess I've got one of those body types that stock sizes don't work on.
and wasn't thinking of buying from thursday, just an e.g. of the matte look I wanted
I was looking at schott, but didn't really find any cafe racers on the matte side
wayyy too small for you
Thanks for the tip. Do you have any info on sizing? According to the yoox it recommends XL, but I don’t see any measurements to compare to
I've had a few john varvatos jackets that probably fit your criteria
thanks again for the info... the stewart site didn't really have any sizing charts either
anyways I ordered a few and plan to return whatever doesn't fit
thanks for the rec
your jacket looks great
