Iris doesnt work on curseforge 1.20.1
after downloading the iris shaders mod on curseforge and it showing up on the curseforge meny, it just doenst exist ingame, not in the mod list and not in the settings, not sure what to do

What do you mean by curseforge? Mod loader wise there is fabric and forge as main ones, curseforge is a website/launcher
sounds like you have forge and are trying to run iris, a fabric mod, on it

also you can't get iris for 1.20.1 from curseforge. You need to go to modrinth for it

Ya a few things to note: iris as of currently is fabric/quilt only, and iris is no longer posted to the curseforge site
there is an unofficial fork of iris for forge called oculus (and its sodium counterpart, embeddium), but it is very buggy
and it is heavily recommended to switch to fabric
