SOTF dedicated on headless Linux Server

I run a headless Linux system hosting various game servers without difficulty as they're native Linux servers. I've tried to set up an SOTF server on this system and can't even install it correctly. Steamcmd always errors out with error 0x602 when using the steamcmd 'app_update' command to install the game server. I tried copying the installation from my windows machine manually and it successfully copied but WINE does not seem to run it correctly, it outputs to a display I don't have and as a result just locks my bash session until I break the process. Is there a detailed set of instructions to host an SOTF server on a Linux Headless system out there that I just haven't found yet? I've been searching for some time. Lastly, both the game and server that run currently on my Win 10 machine crash an inordinate amount. My friend whom plays from his Win 10 machine also experiences crashes regularly. Bot our machines are decent, mine is; Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 4070 SSD 32gb ram This machine is currently running the server and the game for me and I don't see how it would have any difficulty doing so yet the server crashes so often it's almost unplayable now whereas for our first 2 weeks of play it never crashed. His machine is comparable to mine and is only running the game, not a server.

@Ehkart I'm not really able to help you but I may know someone who could, but I know for a fact that the server should run fine on Linux,I could see an issue trying to run both the game and the server on the same machine though, as SOTF Is quite a resource intensive game, especially on the CPU and RAM
