are these french chore jackets legit?
I’m looking to get a French chore jacket but can’t afford the prices from one of the major french makers right now, decided to search on ebay which is full of these very affordable ones listed as vintage deadstock.
Is this legit or just someone selling cheap chinese dupes and listing them as vintage?
honestly don’t mind that, just wondering about quality.

‘french’ chore coat is more a description of a particular design
there have been plenty other countries with very similar workwear jackets, which is why ‘dupes’ of ‘french’ chore coats don’t really exist
also the listing is pretty transparent that this jacket was made in china
nothing inherently wrong with that
chore coats are by definition simple work jackets
