Stream Deck has stopped working altogether
Device: Stream Deck MK1
Software & Version: Stream Deck 6.5.0 (19904)
Windows/Mac Version: Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.3803
Question/Issue: The Stream Deck software no longer displays my firmware version, instead it says no device is found. In the Windows device manager it says "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed" and then this in the properties box:
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed."
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, rebooting, unplugging the device and plugging it back in, changing USB ports, etc.
Any help would be appreciated! 😄

I already have sent an email to Elgato support, but if you all have any other ideas I'd love to hear them.
Does it work on any other PC
I don't have another PC to test unfortunately
Have you tried using another USB cable? I've had that happen recently with my facecam aswell
This is a Stream Deck MK1, so it doesn't have a replaceable cable
Oh damn.
Have you tried Windows 11?
No, I can't really reinstall right now, I'd have to wait until some projects and stuff were done
But my CPU isn't officially supported so I wanted to wait
I have a Ryzen 2700X but without a motherboard and was going to upgrade to that at some point
Have you looked at Device manager yet?
Oh wait
Yeah, that's how I found the info in "Question/issue"
Hmm I'd try seeing if a VM picks it up
Code 43 is a generic driver and/or settings corruption error, so my guess is the update broke it
My most recent USB C cable has that issue
But I tried uninstalling it and removing everything associated and then rebooting and reinstalling, but
Have you rebooted your PC?
Yes, multiple times
I said that after the info with device manager
So it has been a week and they haven't replied, so I might need to replace it
I mean it's Christmas and New Year's, they're going to be at reduced capacity to respond to things
Well, the last support ticket I opened with them also didn't get responded to
So I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'll give them another week
Also a friend brought his laptop over and it does the same thing on that, so I know it is an issue with the device itself most likely
Elgato asked me for a bunch of information and hasn't responded since, going to wait another week
Alright, they sent me a pre-paid label and are replacing my unit with a MK2, so I will close this
