I had it setup, got diffrent mods for something else and now i can get it back

Do you have rtss or msi afterburner

If so it breaks with sodium so you can’t use it(rtss, msi afterburner includes rtss)
i had installed with it for a while and it was fine
The check was only added recently

do i have to unistall it or can i just close it (stop it from running in the background as well)

we have many reasons to believe it causes major problems
you're free to try it, but as the message says, we're trusting you know what's going on with the code
if you don't, don't do that
I understand that simply removes the check of the program running, and yes, stadistics will not be shown, but at least fan curve of your graphic card still works.
