Sweater Polo Recommendations
I'm looking to pick up a few plain, solid color sweater polos for casual wear and to possibly serve as a base layer if I wanted to wear a jacket or coat. I live in an area where winters are typically on the milder side (62F outside as I type this) so something on the thinner side is preferred. I generally lean towards more form-fitting as opposed to baggy. For reference, Spier & Mackay's merino wool sweaters in a size small fit great.
I had seen that Macy's was advertising a sale on Club Room Merino Wool Blend Polo Sweaters (pictured below) for $30, down from $75, and was curious if anyone had experience with them. I know Club Room has a less-than-stellar reputation, but wondered if it might be worth it at that price.
What other brands would you recommend? As much as I do like the quality of S&M's merino sweaters, I don't like that they are listed as dry clean only. I'd like to keep it below $75-100 if possible, including better options that may fall into that range when purchased on eBay etc.

I imagine you can hand wash the spier ones
Most merino polos you're supposed to hand wash rather than machine wash. Good handwashing detergents include rinse and eucalan
Spier's polos look like a great value tho I personally don't like the wide collar.
I'd see what you can find on eBay btw. I'd prob stay away from club room
I feel results were mixed when looking online. I'd see people complaining about being excessively baggy or seams tearing, but also others that thought it was a good value and fit well.
Are there any brands you'd recommend? The first time I looked polo sweaters up on eBay, I realized I had to add a
-ralph -lauren tag at the end or 99% of the results would just be them.lululemon and vuori on sale might be in that range? they're thinner and not as baggy. vince is generally my go-to for these types of basics but keeping it under $100 might be tough. maybe j crew/banana republic?
S&M is great. I own a few from Express which are pretty solid at $50 on sale. Also check out Todd Snyder - some of the full placket Swester Polos are at $100 right now with all their sales and extra 30% off.
