what’s wrong with my new suit?
I just bought a new suit and the fit just doesn’t look right to me but I don’t have the language to express what the difference is.
for context these photos were taken 2 years apart and my body has not changed at all (same weight and general clothing fits me the same)
fyi: old suit is the one with the bow tie

Looks like you buttoned the bottom button in the second pic? And the shirt sleeves look super long. The suit in the first pic has a low rise trouser and high buttoning point (and a very little lapel), which many here won't like. Do you have a pic of someone wearing a suit (not necessarily on you) that you really like?
Although these aren't great pics to assess fit, I'd actually say from here I prefer the newer suit. the fuller lapel, broader shoulder, and increased length look much better. You could maybe argue that it's a little boxy and the waist could be taken in, but you also have the second button buttoned, which you shouldn't, and it might drape better if you fix that
It looks okay to me, I agree the sleeves are long. Full break is a more traditional look, personally prefer no break on my pants. The shoulders might be a hair wide too.
For a proper fit check you need to take pics with your arm hanging naturally at your sides from the front, back and side.
New suit looks better than the old suit but for a proper fit check post a front-facing profile shot with your arms resting naturally at your sides
Front, back, both sides, good lighting, fully dressed including shoes, arms down at your sides, upright pose but relaxed. Get us the photos :)
I will get y'all this first thing tomorrow GMT 🫡
