concept that i kind of just stole from pros but never really knew the reason
why do they buy on bonus round after winning 2 first rounds? do they just try to win 3rd by themselves with the rifle?

well theres pros and cons to it. From what I experienced on comp, buying on bonus round never ends well unless you got a crazy good coordinated team. Since pros obviously got a good team coordination, they would like to make the 3rd round on a par. As the opponents will obviously full-buy on 3rd round after saving on 2nd round.
they got enough creds for it so they went for it.
So what you do is
You buy until 4 guns
And then one buys/keeps a ghost
