What was your process for finding your "look?" are you still on this journey? What are you drawn to right now?

buying stuff, returning stuff, selling stuff. repeat
I think collecting inspo helps. Figure out a base look you may want to go for if youre really starting from zero, and pick up a few things that seem to be staples of that look.
I think inevitably there will be a process of buying a fairly wide range of things, realizing youve stretched too thin, and then selling off a good amount of it to kinda refine your look. Its gonna cycle like that as you keep buying things and your tastes change
you copy other people until one day you wake up and you're copying yourself
Actually though as someone who is definitely still in the process of finding my look, I have found it helpful to literally just try and copy other peoples fits that I like exactly and see how I feel about it.
You're gonna miss. You're gonna buy things that don't work, you're gonna post fits that are bricks. I brick, the best dressed people I know still brick. Can't build a foundation without bricks
Brick it till you make it
I think in the end it’s about buying whatever you like and seeing how you can make it work, eventually you’ll have a good and personal wardrobe. I believe that having something that is unarguably of your own making is uplifting
Ex pointed out how i looked more comfortable and better in general in my comfy clothes than the fancy things i was collecting. Hurt my feelings til i realized it was totally true.
