Machine-washable trousers
I'm thinking about trying out trousers, so I'm looking for recommendations that hit the following criteria:
* Regular/straight-fit at most, nothing wider.
* Machine-washable.
* Probably not high-waisted, since I'm not that bold.
* Leg crease is fine but no pleats 🙏
Anyone have some suggestions? 👀 Probably looking to start with a dark olive green.

What you're describing is a pretty standard fit that'll be available at a lot of places. It'll be slightly trickier (but still not that hard) to get them in washable material, and that'll mean you're not getting 100% wool.
If you're not used to wearing trousers something like this is a fine place to start but I would recommend keeping an open mind to wider legs and higher rises--they're not just trendy, they actually are flattering to most body types.
I can imagine higher rise looking decent... it's just a mental hurdle for me. I also don't find tucking my shirt super comfortable since I'm not used to it 😂
As for wideness... I think a traditional or straight fit is my limit for now. The wider stuff is a bit too out there for my tastes
Thanks for the link!
They look solidly priced. Wish they had more olive options 👀
look into og107s on ebay
or orslow if you want to spend the money
stan ray as well
will take a look
You don't have to tuck into high waisted pants if you don't want to
Seconding Stan Ray, great starter pants
hmm
Maybe a dumb question: what does high waist even look like untucked? I'm not sure how I'd know they were high waisted or low waisted at that point
(as an outside observer)
exactly
You wouldn't be able to tell as an outside observer
High waist is for you (not the observer)
Comfy
I haven't worn high waist in... possibly ever 😂
Surprised some people find it more comfortable
Worth trying
Takes some getting used to if you've never worn it before, if you still don't like it after some time then at least now you know
