Crazy lag
Hey so im experiencing crazy lag. DH doesnt lag when i start it up but after a bit it will start lagging more and more. Its like little lag spikes that get bigger. One of my friends said that DH has a memory leak with fabric but idk.

heres video
when i delete the mod everything works fine
heres a video
the spikes start small and get much bigger
Pls help
can you do a video with the F3 menu open so it's possible to see memory usage?
oh and can you send a screenshot of the DH main settings page?
would also be helpful if you tried disabling all of the other mods
Ok I’ll do those tomorrow sometime. Also I don’t think it’s the mods bc all of them seem to work together
Like there shouldn’t be any issues
it might be mods interacting strangely with DH
Yeah that looks like GC
Try allocating more ram or a different java distro
Or better java args
What is gf
Gc
Garbage collection, its where java deletes unused info in RAM so it doesnt run out of ram
Ok
So it isn’t a memory leak rihh go t
Right
Afaik DH doesnt have any memory leaks
Ok idk what my friend was talking about
A mem leak is when a mod doesnt let go of ram it doesnt need anymore
So it keeps using more and more ram until mc crashes
Wouldn’t that cause it to lag then
Yeah and big lag spikes
That’s what basically happens
Yeah but a lag spike doesnt have to be a memory leak
Lag spikes get bigger and bigger to where I can’t play jt
True but it’s major lag spikes
Like it starts off small
And gets bigger overtime
As I run around more
Its a possibility but probably not
K
So how do I fix again
Just allocate more ram
Yeah
And you can try a different java distro if you use a default one
And different java flags
What
Idk how to do that
What does this mean

Some java versions are better optimised so less ram usage and less lag spikes
Ok I’ll test this
@James Seibel (GMT-6)
take a look at the vid
i doubled the allocated ram
it always lags right before the memory drops, so that means that you either don't have enough ram or have the cpu usage too high
Mine is set to balanced
And I have 6gb allocated
try allocating more ram (I'd recommend at least 4 gigs but if you can go up to 6 or 8 that'd be good) and/or reducing the cpu load to minimal
The screenshot says it's on low
I changed it
The video says you only have 2
bruh
Also changed it lol
Didn’t make a difference
Mb
ok send a video with your current settings and a screenshot of the current dh settings
and before that try reducing the CPU load to minimal
Yeah like Mithic said, that’s not nearly enough ram for your DH settings.
Either lower your settings or increase ram.
how much ram should i allocate
Try 4 or 6 GB
I did 8 jic
can u send me some good java arg?
Personally I use this guide
