Inseam too short?

Is the inseam too short on these jeans for a single cuff? (White socks so it’s easier to see) I have another pair which I need to have hemmed and I don’t want make the mistake to have them too short, so I’m thinking I should add a couple of cms. (This is also a pair I recently bought, and now I’m kinda thinking I should’ve kept it longer :()

I think it looks fine! Are you trying to show the selvedge seam? I think cuffed or uncuffed they look good. If you want a break, maybe you can leave your other pants a bit longer

Thanks paji! Yea, I wanna show off the selvedge lol. I tried to find the sweet spot length, having these jeans hemmed to a no-break, thinking that I could use them both uncuffed and single-cuffed for a slightly cropped look. But they shrank 1cm after I washed them and I’m getting neurotic.

Yeah, I think you're overthinking it a bit aha. I would say the uncuffed length is perfect (imo) but even slightly cuffed doesn't look out of place. probably depends on the socks.

They look spot on with the loafers. Once it’s warmer, cuff it show that ankle off.

Also a good idea to wash before hemming to get the shrinkage out of the way. Learned that the hard way myself and ended up having to resell the jeans because I didn't love the look

Yep, these were one-wash, I thought they wouldn’t shrink more. I’m thinking (hoping) this little shrinkage might disappear with some wear, though. Just like the waist is tighter after a bit after every wash

Yeah that little bit of tightening up after each wash goes away pretty quickly once you wear them for a bit. Some brands recommend pulling the legs to length while drying so they don't shrink up as much, though I don't know if that actually works because I've never tried it. Also you might lose a bit of length over time as they mold to your legs and start developing some creases where your knees bend. Less of a problem with jeans that have a bit of stretch in the fabric (not 100% cotton) or lighter weight denim (I'd say 12oz or less) but still worth mentioning

I think pulling to length while wet might work. I managed to stretch the waist faster by spraying some water to the waistband.. I guess it’s the same. These are 13oz 100% cotton, I do hope I won’t lose much if any length. Otherwise I might need to make jean leg pulling a regular chore lol
