study hard before the midterm, the material after the midterm is easier. most people drop only because they failed the midterm. I suggest get a prof with a high rating and make some friends, ask for help. Do all the assignments labs and practice tests alot, check all your wrong answers and find out how to get the right answer. Should be able to pass the midterm.
tbh Reza is not bad. In midterm he gives a lot of part marks for questions you got wrong as long as some steps are correct.
That was just a joke lol. Reza really puts his best effort while teaching, which is why he expects similar results in return.
I would say he’s the second best dsa prof after Cathy (as far as I know).
You’re right about partial marks, and he even holds test discussion sessions where you can debate and get more marks if you prove your point.
He’ll constantly joke about failing 1 out of 4 people, but it’s just to motivate students to work hard, and to make sure the students are engaged.
I had a good experience with him, and somehow got an A. The midterm took most of my marks
i barely understood rezas lectures lol
he did curve my grade tho
i still remember the microsoft paint quality diagrams
