looking to buy cropped overshirt and car coat after shipping nightmare
I just ordered a relaxed car coat and overshirt from a company called asker. I am in the US and they don't ship here. But they do ship to Canada. I live close enough to the border where I planned to pick it up from my cousin on the other side.
I order it and have it shipped, and to make a long story short I just had to have it sent back because UPS wanted to charge $150 USD in taxes and duties. I've never heard of anything like this.
Here's the car coat:

What stores have clothes like this?

COS

Occasional Uniqlo x Lemaire
Arket exists in a weird space because you could probably spend a lot of time and find alternatives either at higher or lower prices
But not in a one-stop-shop way
As most their actual garment offering are kinda basic, stylistically by themselves
merely made?
carrier company in norfolk has similar things
Any brand that's named after a person is probably gonna be extremely expensive. I wasn't proven wrong. But you're right, that stuff is pretty similar.
I've heard of COS but I hear their stuff does not fit the same way that Arket does.
In a strange way I would almost consider paying the duties if the pieces were worth that much. I just don't know if can justify it.
Never heard of them
I will check into them
theyre a korean brand have a really nice wool cropped shirt
UPS isn't charging you that. Importing anything of substantial value into Canada will subject you to taxes and duties payable to the government of Canada. (These don't kick in for imports into the US until the value of the goods exceeds $800, but the threshold for most other countries is a lot lower.)
I like the stuff on their site
Yeah, it was pretty upsetting. I ended up crumbling and paying. First and last time. I could have gotten designer clothes with what I've paid
Not to say that these aren't higher end
❤️ I saw it on a you tube channel called Tim dessaint he makes fashion content highly recommend
