Absolutely no luck with CloudFlare
I've got a domain registered by namecheap and I've set the name servers to cloudflare servers. CF says my site's connected. I've added an
A
record pointing to my AWS server. However, when going to the domain it just doesn't work?? Changed the nameservers to be namecheap basic and set the IP to my server and within minutes it was working. What the hell?! ðŸ˜7 Replies
Hmmm, when you say it doesn't work did it just not resolve? And did you wait a minute or two after adding the record before visiting it? You can sometimes end up with dns cache issues if you visit too early
literally waited 8+ hours
If theres another error other than dns resolution it would help to know the error code
it just doesn't resolve, connection timeout and thats it
got 522 from curl
Connection timeout would imply it did resolve but just couldn't connect
Was the record proxied?
OH btw, using a vpn made it work
but it's not my IP that is the problem, I can access the server by IP directly and that works so not AWS/My server issue
yep
Went back to cloudflare and it's still timing out
curl literally just hangs
so uh, what do i do?
Now would you look at that
