Good deal on these Ebay Alden loafers?
Looking for a pair of brown leather loafers, on Ebay I found these, heard Alden is a really nice brand, but are these in too bad of condition to be worth? The soles look a little rough and I dont want anything that I'd have to replace soon-ish

Alden makes good stuff. These shoes are certainly not new, but they look okay to wear for now. Would want to see better pictures of the sole at the toe. The insile still has the logo, the parts where your foot goes in aren't all knackered though a bit worn. Fronts have scuffs but clean them up good and slap some dark brown/burgundy (depending on exact leather) shoe cream on em and I bet they'll look way better. Overall, seems reasonable enough.
But on the flip side, I would really recommend trying loafers on in person, there's too high a chance of it being a miss in my experience. Unless you know your size well and generally how that works with alden loafers.

Thanks for the advice, I wish I could try loafers on in person but there is really nothing near me down here in the south, I don't think I would be able to get anything if I didn't buy online
