Getting billed for hobby every month
Hey can someone answer a quick question for me about hobby plan? Am I supposed to be getting charged $5 every month even if I'm not using the entire credit? Three months in a row now.

the hobby plan does cost 5$ a month for the subscription
Are credits gone now? I've only been hosting a very low traffic discord bot.
the hobby plan does still come with 5$ in credits, but those are only used towards resource usage and not the subscription fee
Ahh. Why did I get charged 3 times on September 3rd then lol. First ate my left over $5 credit, then a 0.01 charge, then another $5 same day.
from your screenshot I only see one 5$ charge on September 3rd
the other two are zero dollars
Yeah, first was $0 due because it ate the credit, hold
Two invoices for the same month, first used the balance, second charged my card
Same one π¦ both say September 3-oct3
And they happened on the same day
The data on the second one is for August yeah, but I got charged the subscription fee twice

answering your initial question, yes. The hobby plan costs 5$ per month, this would be deducted from your credits if you have extra
it definitely is odd that you were charged twice in September though
Yeah. I don't know what happened, it looks like it spazzed out because I had leftover credit and it hadn't billed the usage just yet. So the system tried to catch up and forgot I technically paid already?
Given the invoice numbers are sequential, it looks like they happened one right after the other.
I think this was from a billing migration we did a while back when we introduced the new hobby/pro plans. It looks like you were only charged once though.
- Invoice 0005 removed $5 from your credit balance
- Invoice 0006 was $0
- Invoice 0007 was $0
7 charged my card actually.
Oh ya, I see. First one deducts from credits, second one is 0, and third one charges $5. Honestly, it's so hard to make sense of these invoices I can't tell if it's correct or not. Throwing some credits your way for the trouble, regardless π
