multiple PC setuo

I'm looking into redoing my setup and may be swapping to a 3 PC setup, one for streaming with Intel QuickSync, recording with Nvenc, and third just for gaming/rendering footage. Does anyone have any links or knowhow for controlling multiple PCs with one streamdeck. I plan to buy a few more to control each PC separately but was looking for an semi easier/cheaper option for the time being

There's no real reason to have 3 PC's for recording/streaming. That just adds a lot more complexity in managing things and the only benefit is slightly offloading some encoding work (which really shouldn't be an issue unless you're doing like >4 encodes at the same time) As for the stream deck, I remember seeing a few projects that let you connect one stream deck to other machines across the network, but it's not really worth doing. If you're just using it for OBS you can look into managing it with the built-in web socket stuff IMO you would be much better off having 2 PC's and getting any card that supports AV1 encoding for the streaming PC. Pretty much all the newer/modern cards support it, and aside from AMD they're all decent with H.264 encoding for Twitch as well

Ideally I agree, just trying to use what I have now so I can save up to do a new build since two of the pcs are limited on upgradable components

What Nvidia GPU do you have in the recording machine? And what CPU/GPU are you using for Intel Quicksync?

The i5 7500 nuc I got from Ryce will be used for streaming and a 1650 Super for recording Gaming pc is using a 2070 Non super but since some of the more recent pc games (cod...) are poorly optimized I wanted to push the 2070 to full use game wise and not bottleneck it till I can replace it with a 3080 or 4070

Might as well just use the 1650 for streaming and recording, there will be no gain from using the NUC just for streaming

only issue is running two instance of OBS on that PC then and StreamDeck is a pain with controlling both at the same time I stream with overlays but record the camera and gameplay together with no overlay

You can use the Source Record plugin or the Vertical plugin to record just the camera and gameplay sources within the same OBS instance that's streaming

What capture cards are you using? With Elgato's Pro line you can use FFmpeg to capture the cards directly as opposed to using another insance of OBS. It's much more performant, and the footage has less stutters than OBS composite.

the issue i think i had was more encoding limitations to storage then capture cards, i use a mix of 4k60 pro and hd60 S+ essentially at the end of the day i was just looking for a way to use my streamdeck to remote control OBS on a separate PC mainly so i can use the streaming PC in a separate room or area from my gaming/render rigs

With a GTX 1650 Super you can encode 5 streams of 1080p with ease. You can uncap the 5 encode stream limit with a patch, and encode another 2-3 1080p streams for 7-8 total.

I understand that but it was most likely a limitation with write speeds to the hdds then the GPU encoding

Sounds like an easy upgrade would be faster storage rather than a whole other PC

Yup, just trying to use what I got now till I can afford a few upgrades

When was the last time you tried out Source Record or the Vertical plugin?
