Dressing queer in the cold?
So here's my issue, I feel like when it gets really cold or it's even snowing outside, differences and individuality in clothing often get smaller. So does anyone here have ideas/inspiration/tips/whatever on how you can still dress queer when it's cold and snowing outside? How do you try to dress in this weather?

Maintaining drama in your proportions seems like a good headspace to start from
Overlong sleeves dropped shoulders big scarves
This look almost certainly isn’t actually warm but it’s an interesting point to start
It does really depend on what you mean by “dressing queer” like what inspiration are you pulling from in other seasons
Dressing queer can definitely mean a lot of things, but if you aren't wearing a hat, a queer hairstyle can also go surprisingly far i think
honestly I'm pulling from a very wide array of inspirations. I don't like focussing on one style, so I switch things around a lot
Rainbow scarf
Jewelry
Super cropped proportions
There’s lots of ways to signify queerness in dressing
The thing is: I recovered from depression and have become a lot more confident. I used to always be happy when I could blend in. But now I feel like I want to stand out. I don't want to look the same as like 90% of the dudes around me with the only difference being that maybe I paid attention to matching colours a bit more. I don't want to be bored to death by how I dress, I want it to be exciting. And I feel like in dressing for the cold, I become grey, boring and insignificant
jewelry for example I feel like is hidden under jacket and gloves
the scarf suggestions from @bishopcorrigan and @Salem I really like
Similarly hats can be real statement pieces, though arguably a bit more difficult to do well
there's definitely a lot of good fits, but I feel like most of them are fitting for fall or spring weather, not for sub-zero temperatures
true
At a certain point dog you gotta choose function over form
see if you can find a statement coat, i have a long coat that i love and feels kinda queer to me
but, yeah, if it's cold enough you gotta just dress for it
If you're outside in subzero temperatures is signaling individuality and queer identity really more important than like physical protection from the elements
can always look for fun colors in like a parka or w/e
Oh sorry I meant sub-zero in °C, I feel like that may have been misunderstood
yeah that's definitley a little different haha
around freezing you can supplement with thermals and stuff to stay warm under more fashionable pieces
What I've been on lately
Eye makeup maybe? lol
I mean the question is still how OP usually signals queerness in their dress and how that can be adapted to colder temps
ik hence the lol
that's actually an amazing idea, I was meaning to start trying make-up for a few months but didn't get around to it yet. Maybe this could be the extra motivation I needed
I'd also check out @vivi_nguyenxx on insta, they've been a big inspo for andro fashion (maybe not exactly what you're looking for) in cold weather
Not all of their stuff is cold weather of course but they have good cold weather fits
Lots of concrete examples of what bishop's talking about
very good suggestion as well, gave them a follow
I can't give you anything really concrete there because I only became confident enough for stuff like this early this year, so I'm trying out a lot of things rn and my wardrobe is a wild potpourri of stuff
but this discussion has already helped a lot so thank you all for that 😊
You must wear precisely this outfit to appear queer.
has declared it to be so
