I can load the game w/Iris & Shaders, OR I can load the game w/Fabric & mods, but not both

And yes I DID use the "Fabric install" option when using the Iris installer. Also here's my mods folder in case that matters
I don't see iris in that list
you mean Iris-Installer-3.0.2.jar?
You need the Iris mod jar from modrinth
oh. huh. so t i have to download 2 separate things of iris then.
No, just one
Btw why is your mods folder inside another folder
when i was on a server another player taught me that method for having different profiles for different places I'd play that were on different game versions and/or used different mod loadouts. I'd made a different subfolder in .minecraft for each one, like this:
because before that, whenever i was gonna switch between, say, playing on the server and playing on my realm, i'd have to swap all the mods back & forth manually between the mods folder & other custom temporary/holder folders
Anyway, I got the shader working along with mods now!
Well, except for one, that I can tell so far. Gamma Ultis doesnt work with a shader. And the shader makes nighttime like 3x darker than it is with vanilla graphics, which makes me need the functions of gamma ultis 3x more badly!
Like I literally can't see anything that's not within 10 blocks of a light source
there are these lighting settings for the shader but IDK what I can do with them, if anything, to increase brightness so that i can see in the dark
That sounds like using a instance-based launcher but worse and with more steps. I recommend looking into something like Prism Launcher: https://prismlauncher.org
Prism Launcher - Home

NO. I've had to learn how to use too many new utilities including too many new launchers in order to mod games since I bought this new computer, including games that worked perfectly well the way I modded them on the previous computer, and every new software I'm forced to learn this month fract8ures my severely-damaged brain another level. I'm changing any method if I don't have to.
Now.. I need to find out how to see a reasonable amount at night & in caves etc while using a shader, or I'll have no choice but to give up on shaders forever
Complementary has settings for this
wha't complementary
