Table keeps loading

Just followed the basic installation guide on filament. Got all the required dependencies, copy pasted the example with a model in my project and the table loads but the functionality does not seem to work. The search box just shows a loading spinner, as well as the paginate buttons. Anyone else ran into this problem in TALL stack?

Are you on the latest version? Should be okay with a fresh install but just checking. Can you do a php artisan about. Any active network requests?
