Minecraft stuck on 60FPS

I downloaded and it worked but now i cannot get over 60FPS when V Sync is enabled. Disabling can get higher but i get terrible fragmentation. On 60FPS it feels like its rubberbanding on how much the mouse swings after stopping to move its weird. I dont know how to fix. Im using Iris with sodium and complementary shaders. Also i couldn’t install optifine idk why

that's what vsync does. It caps your fps. Minecraft's vsync in particular is really bad and often causes issues like low fps if you have a monitor that supports gsync (or similar technology) see if you can turn that on. It will help with screen tearing and is usually much better than vysnc

i had it enabled and had over 60fps before my vsync caps at 120 or 240

thah why could i use it before? Also V Sync/G sync compatibility is enabled the tearing is insane it worked yesterday without 60fps cap and tearing so why now?

1. It caps at the framerate your screen is capable off/set to. 2. Have you updated windows/graphics driver lately? 3. If you have - you should check if your screen is still set to 120/240 in windows. 4. Optifine is not compatible with fabric, at least not out of the box. If you want to use Optifine Install it as a standalone or use forge.

looks like that setting only shows if you have sodium extra/reese's sodium options installed you can access the vanilla video settings with shift+p though even if it's set to current try setting it to where the end says @240
