Cannot query my 3 servers
Hello, I currently own 3 game servers(TF2, Garrysmod and Rust) that have been up since May. They have appeared to query just fine on battlemetrics automatically without any issues. I made the decision to go with a game panel after a few months instead of using a command line to run my servers. Ever since I switched my game servers have been failing to query on both battlemetrics and game tracker. My discord bot and steam query the server without any issues. I have attempted to contact my host regarding the issue and the game panel support team with no luck. I am at a loss of what to do next. My firewalls are all disabled for all my ips and on the operating system. The game panels built in ddos protection is also disabled. I would love to use the battlemetrics banners on my website, but unfortunately I can't...

Worth a shot. I don't know that the game firewall will actually be turned off though

Who is the host for this particular game panel? It sounds like they're filtering our traffic somehow.
I'm currently using a dedicated Windows server from ovh and have tcadmin installed on it. I have 3 additional ips configured on the Windows machine and tcadmin. I've tried disabling the firewalls of each ip through ovh without any luck. The windows firewall is also disabled. This issue didn't occur until we switched to tcadmin in which they claim they don't control the traffic in any way. I can try running a game server through steamcmd after work instead and see if that works. I'll post an update once I do so. I've also tried installing a trial version of tcadmin on Ubuntu Server as we've used Ubuntu in the past and still doesn't get recognized.
In the OVH GAME firewall, did you make the protocol selection "other" for your query ports?
and UDP traffic
Yes, and I even disabled it completely
Battlemetrics for a little while would query my server once or twice and then fail to query
In my experience disabling it is not effective. You have to have the rules set regardless
Oh interesting, I'll have to try that then
So rust seems to be working since I have tried your method. But unfortunately I cant say the same for TF2 and Garrysmod. I've tried using the default 27015 as the query, and changed it to 27016 and allowed it through the firewall with no luck
You set UDP as the traffic type for those, right?
Is this where Im supposed to do it?
I changed it to hl2source to see if it'll make a difference
Right. I thought it was an option when you configure the rule to select the type of protocol, UDP or TCP, but I could be mistaken.
I'm pretty sure the game-specific protocol will interfere with us though
Should I do it through the actual firewall then like this?
and disable the game firewall

Worth a shot. I don't know that the game firewall will actually be turned off though
Oh okay, I'll just keep that on and create some rules through the actual firewall
Also we have 6 IPs we query from, so if you're specifying the source IP make sure you get them all
they're listed on the connection settings page
(don't put your own IP in the source field)
I've got all three of my servers querying on the site now following your steps. Thank you so much for the help brotherman!
