Recommendations for creative server plugins?
I am currently running a Paper 1.20.2 PlotSquared creative server with FAWE, EssentialsX and a few other plugins. I am wondering if anyone has recommendations for plugins to help me secure my server. Also if you have ideas on how to restrict FAWE and other systems so people can’t build lag machines or do crazy world edit commands and crash the server. Someone I talked to recommended restricting NBT but I couldn’t find a plugin that fit what he was talking about. Any tips? @LoganALJones this may help you as well. @ProGamingDk don’t say “don’t run a creative server” 🙂

I hope your creative server is just one part of a network and not multiverse, at least when it crashes it won't take down the rest of your players
It is currently completely separate from my SMP but at some point I’ll be using velocity

So I’ve found.. was having a conversation about it last night and people told me how screwed I am with having no protections and how easily they could crash it
one recentish one was literally done with just beacons
Panilla and limiting FAWE commands seems like a good place to start
And I have daily backups and core protect so should be able to reverse any major damage

How does hypixel housing work?

What I would recommend is something jank like access to /fly, // (Superpickaxe), and free shopgui blocks to build within their plot
They aren't in creative mode and that's what really matters

- Is your internet connection fast enough? In both directions (around 50M is usually enough; you should check here)? You don't connect the server to your router via WiFi, do you?
- Does your ISP provide a somewhat static, public, IPv4 address?
- Are you aware and able to deal with the security impliations?
- Is your computer powerful enough to run both a client and a server?
- Does any inhabitant (human or not!) mind the noise, heat and energy cost of a machine running 24/7?
- Alternatively, is your playerbase OK with the server not being there when you aren't?

2 options:
•ShopGUI with all the prices set to free and no selling, will take a while to set up but is pretty intuitive
•Make your own creative mode GUI with commandpanels or deluxemenus, will take forever
Then I’d recommend using Panilla for fixing exploits, giving players access to /fly and a pickaxe with instamine, and use plotsquared or world guard for the plots

anticheat devs are paid 70-100k a year iirc, with a 2k referral bonus to whoever referred them to hypixel, and people try and diss minecraft by just calling It a block game

basically the creative inventory is super exploitable, and on hacked clients you're able to pull out ANY kind of block from the inventory
including with any kind of nbt data attached the block
so could pull out blocks with near infinite amount of nbt data that the server cant handle and insta crash it
or spawners that spawn crazy mobs like 1000x a tick that'll crash the server

you asked if all paper plugins work, I told u that scissors is a fork, so there is a good chance that nearly all the plugins will work.
If you want to know if a specific plugin works, ur best bet is to just try it out yourself,
we are not gonna go and try out every paper plugin for you.
Odds are the answer is yes, but if ur going to go and make a server (which would be the only reason to be interested) you should be testing before launching… and you’re not testing “all paper plugins” just few that you’d want on ur server

all scissors does (by briefly looking at it) is fix the creative inventory exploits. So if u got a plugin that does anything with that it might not work, (but I don’t know of any popular ones)
