How to mods and Iris
I saw in the FAQ that iris wont be on curseforge. I'm ignorant to modding in general other than using forge so is there a different launcher I can get that can use iris and mods? Or some otherway to go about that

you can still use the curseforge app but just add the sodium and iris mods from modrinth into your mods folder, but it is not a good launcher and it's recommended to get prism
prism is another launcher? and i can just drop mods into the folder or search for them like forge?

you can just drop the mods from modrinth into your mods folder of your curseforge* instance
Prism also supports installing mods from both modrinth and curseforge straight from the launcher
what makes prism better than forge? like why is that the recommended
really anything is better than curesforge*

the UI isn't pretty but it's straightforward and easy to adjust to imo
