Alden loafer sizing
Hi all— I wear Alden oxfords on Aberdeen last in a 9 B/D - was wondering if anyone has suggestions as to a good starting point for sizing Alden tassel loafers (on that last) based on that? Thanks!

All the Alden tassel loafers I'm aware of are Aberdeen last as well so if your oxfords fit you well then 9 B/D in the tassels should be good

Thank you @GSH ! With other brands (AE) had been used to sizing down (though often w mixed results)
Highly recommend trying on in person, I really like Alden loafers but their lasts just don't work for me despite having dialed in my fit quite well for their shoes and boots.
Have you tried any of their loafers with the same last as the shoes that work for you?
I don't wear aberdeen, that said, I went to the alden store and their loafers just didn't work for me unfortunately
It is possible they have something somewhere that does work but nothing that was in the alden store in SF
I feel like if I go a full size down on cape cod (which is not something they actually made, just branded) that there's a good chance of it fitting okay
But I dunno about anything they currently make.

Almost all Alden tassels are on (minus the cape cod collection) are in Aberdeen so I’d take your same size if your other shoes are also on Aberdeen.
why did i neve realize there was an alden in DC. I need to go get fitted asap

I'm not, I used to live in the area tho. I bought my snuff LHS from Alden DC and for a while I was on some of their lists for rare shell
DC and SF are the only factory stores. Alden Madison is actually a third party retailer!
@gimp I know for sure there are Copley lasted tassels and I’m pretty sure there are leydon and Grant lasted tassels (but they aren’t super common).

They don’t make the Cape Cods?
No they outsource that to rancourt and other Maine moc companies
I knew the sizing was different, that makes sense.
They did not make the Cape Cods per the guy at Alden I talked to, and also that hasn't been made in quite a while
