MySQL RailWay slow queries
Hi, I have a simple desktop app with PyQt5, a Python library to make GUI, that connects to a MySQL railway database. However, the queries seem slow to me, taking around 5 seconds. How can I improve this? I'm using a hobby plan.

edit: a database in us-east wasn’t much faster, user will use planetscale...

regions are available on the pro plan, and I would say the closest region available would be us-east
Even so, it shouldn't improve much, right? Because of the distance.
i honestly couldn't tell you, i could spin up a test database in us-east for you to test on if you'd like?
